<body> <p>Shinkyu Kenpo</p> <p>Shinkyu Kenpo is a traditional Martial Arts system based in the American Kenpo Karate ideology. All students will learn the traditions, history, techniques and kata / forms steeped in this ancient art. From white belt to 1st black belt our students with learn everything about the ancient art of kenpo to the modern American Kenpo Karate system. Where it came from and what other systems influenced it. They will learn and become proficient in 272 individual hand techniques plus all there variations. They will also learn and become proficient in 57 weapon techniques and five weapons. All students will learn kata for each belt level based on the techniques they have learned. This will not only teach the students about themselves but to move from one technique to another fluidly, training ones body to use what it has learned without effort. Once archiving 1st black belt status, students will learn about other Martial Art systems, their traditions, history, techniques and kata / forms. To become a better and more rounded Martial Artist.</p> <p>As learning to fight is very important we must teach the mind as well. Honesty, curtsey, respect, and disciple are values very important to us and are taught in every class. Any student not displaying these values will not be allowed to advance in belt level and in some cases asked to leave a class. We believe that one should not be taught these fighting skills if they will misuse them. If any student is found misusing what they have learned and found to be detrimental to the system they will be striped of there belt and ask to leave the system. We do not train bullies and thugs. </p> <p>The Shinkyu Kenpo system is not a board breaking, show training or kickboxing system. We are a combat self defense system that teaches our students how to defend themselves in real life situations. Hands-on technique training and sparring are required of all our students so they can truly learn the techniques taught to them. As each belt level is achieved more advanced techniques will be learned.</p> <p>As students advance though the system, our hope is to train leaders, not only with-in the Shinkyu Kenpo system, but in our community as well.</p> </body>
